Commander Keslar Honored For Forty Years Of Service

During the regular scheduled city council meeting Mayor Demshar recognized Commander Matt Keslar for his forty years of service to the Rock Springs Police Department.

 

Commander Keslar started with the Rock Springs Police Department in 1977 as a Patrol Officer. Over his forty years of service with the Rock Springs Police Department Commander Keslar has served as a patrol officer, detective, and on the narcotics unit.

When asked about why he became a Police Officer, Commander Keslar says that he had always wanted to be a Police Officer since he was a child. Commander Keslar said he followed in the footprints of his grandfather who was a Deputy Sheriff for Laramie County.

 

Commander Keslar says what he enjoys the most about being a Police Officer is helping people of this great community.
