Cowboys And Cowgirls Post Basketball Wins

Home was a friendly place on Tuesday for both the Wyoming Cowgirls and Cowboys basketball teams.

The Cowgirls (7-3) started off the day with a 62-33 win over Colorado Christian (3-6) in their last home non-conference.  Taylor Rusk scored a career high 15 points to lead the Cowgirls in scoring.  Wyoming lead 41-19 at the half and played many bench players in the second half.

The Cowgirls will hit the road for their last game before they start Mountain West conference play. On December 21st they will take on nationally rated Duke University.

The Wyoming Cowboys (8-3) had to come five points behind in the last 18-second of regulation in order to force overtime against Eastern Washington University (3-8).  The Pokes would outscore EWU 15-10 in the extra period to win 93-88.  Hayden Dalton led the Pokes with 28 points with Justin James adding 20 points.

Wyoming will take on Texas Southern (0-9) Saturday in Laramie.
