Deputies Return Missing Scooter

(Sweetwater County, Wyo. – October 11, 2018)      Thanks to public response to mainstream and social media, a 13-year-old Rock Springs girl’s missing scooter has been found and returned to her.

Sheriff Mike Lowell said the Razor scooter was found cast aside in some bushes not far from the White Mountain Library in Rock Springs and reported to the Sheriff’s Office. Deputies posted a photograph of the scooter online and in print media, calls began coming in, and its owner was found.

The girl was reunited with her scooter, which was a Christmas present, on Wednesday.

“With everything going on the world, this might seem like a very small thing,” Lowell said.  “But when you can make a child that happy, it’s anything but.”  He thanked the public for their response, and commended the two deputies involved, Deputy Sheriff Dave Henderson and Corporal Steve Paladino, for their efforts.
