Three former Wyoming Cowboy basketball players are currently playing in the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas, Nevada trying to catch the eye of NBA management and a possible ticket to employment in the upcoming season.
Hayden Dalton is playing with the Denver Nuggets, Alan Herndon is suiting up for the Washington Wizzards an Josh Adams is a member of the Dallas Mavericks Summer League team. This is the first year of Summer League play for Dalton and Herndon who played for Wyoming last year. For Adams, it is his second Summer League stint. Adams played for the Pokes from 2012 to 2016. The last two years Adams has played overseas.
On Friday night Adams played 13 minutes and scored 6 points with one assist in the Dallas 92-85 loss to Phoenix . Adams and the Mavericks will meet Milwaukee tonight.
Herndon played 10 minuets and scored five points with two rebounds in Washington’s 72-59 loss to Cleveland. Washington will take on San Antonio this afternoon in their second game.
Dalton has yet to see action in Denver’s first two games, a 70-69 win over Minnesota on Friday and Saturday’s 82-69 win over Boston. The Nuggets play again on Monday against Milwaukee.
