Local Scouts Participating in Scouting For Food on Saturday

Local Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts in Rock Springs and Green River will be “Scouting for Food” this Saturday.Airport

The food collection event is part of the annual Scouting for Food initiative, which is an effort by Packs and Troops across the country to fight hunger. All food collected will be delivered to the Rock Springs and Green River Food Banks.

Each Scout Troop chooses their own method of collection. In some area, Scouts will go door-to-door on November 19th asking for donations. In other areas, donations bags will be delivered before the collection date. If you will not be home on Saturday for collection, a bag of food can be left on your porch for donation.

Items needed must be non-perishable and include: canned meats/fish, fruit juice, soups, baby formula, jello, pudding mix, pasta, sauces, canned fruit, canned vegetables, baby cereal, powdered milk, peanut butter, hot or cold cereal.  Please do not donate outdated or opened items.
