Local National Weather Service Offices Launch Eclipse Website

The National Weather Service offices in Riverton and Cheyenne have teamed up to create a website for the upcoming solar eclipse.

The web site for the National Weather Service Riverton office eclipse information is located at

The site provides information the eclipse path, what causes an eclipse, historical temperatures for that time of year, eclipse safety information, and more.

The solar eclipse will take place on August 21, 2017 with several parts of Wyoming experiencing total eclipse totality, including parts or all of Teton, Sublette, Fremont, Natrona, Converse, Goshen, Platte, and Niobrara counties.
