Mikinzie Shelley, Ali Lange, Kristin McCrann are the Rock Springs High School Students of the Month. Rotary recognized and celebrated the academic accomplishments of these three and their parents at a January Rotary meeting.
Mikinzie’s interests include baking, dance and poetry. She excels in both engineering and biology. Mikinzie’s service projects include a leadership role in Make-A-Wish and president of her youth group. She plans to pursue a degree in Biomedical Engineering.
Ali is a two-time state champion diver. When Ali graduates she will have earned 42 credits from WWCC. She plans to attend the University of Nevada Las Vegas, where Ali plans on diving for the University and earn a biology degree and eventually become a surgeon.
Kristin is a member of the high school’s Health Academy. She has been accepted into UW’s nursing program and will earn a four-year nursing degree APRN CRNA. Kristen volunteers for many organizations including the Giving Pack Program, an invaluable program that provides food to needy children who might otherwise go without over the weekend.
“The future looks very bright for these outstanding students from RSHS”, commented Rotary President Tim Savage. “These three students inspired all of us at rotary. The honorees all mentioned what wonderful role models their parents are and the quality educational opportunities available here in Sweetwater County.”
