Southwest Wyoming Regional Airport Opens New General Aviation Facility Powered by Renewable Energy

On Wednesday, July 18th the Southwest Wyoming Regional Airport officials will be holding a ribbon cutting to celebrate the opening of the new general aviation facility, which will be powered in part by a solar project provided by Rocky Mountain Power’s Blue Sky customers.

The ceremony will go from 4 to 4:30 p.m. with tours of the facility and solar farm starting at 3 p.m.

The event will showcase the new nearly $6 million facility, which includes a 30,000 square foot hangar and terminal complex that will support the airport’s General Aviation traffic and local industry for decades to come.

All members of the public and media are invited to attend this exciting moment for the future of our Airport.

 

The event will take place at Southwest Wyoming Regional Airport General Aviation at 468 HWY 370 in Rock Springs.
