Wyoming Cowboy Basketball Heads To Coastal Carolina For CBI Finals

The Wyoming Cowboy basketball teams finds themselves in a position that players and fans of Cowboy basketball have not experienced in quite some time, the finals of a national post-season basketball tournament.  Monday they take on Coastal Carolina  in the finals of the CBI Tournament.

The last time the Pokes played in a national postseason championship final was 1986 when they lost to Ohio State in the NIT finals.  That was a one and done finals game where as the CBI finals will be a best two of three.  Game one will be Monday night in Conway, South Carolina at 5:30 pm (new time).  1360 KRKK will begin broadcasting at 5:00 pm. The game can also be streamed on 1360KRKK.com.

Monday’s game will mark the first road game of the CBI tournament for Wyoming.  The road has not been a friendly adventure this season for the Cowboys who are 18-3 at home but only 3-11 away from the AA.

Win or lose Monday night, Wyoming will host game two of the CBI finals Wednesday at 7:00 pm.  A third game, if needed, will also be played in Laramie on Friday with a 5:00 pm start time.
