She was born April 27, 1933, in Lonetree, Wyoming to Frank and Veloy (Terry) Gregory. During this time of the year, over one foot of snow fell. Dr. Stratton rode horseback from Lyman, Wyoming to Lonetree, Wyoming to deliver her.

She met her husband John Gosar, while he was working for his brother Joe at the Green River Food and Locker Plant. This was across the street from the telephone office that she worked at. Her Dad’s grocery bill increased for some reason!

John and Maxine were married on September 15, 1956 in Green River, Wyoming. They were married for 57 years, prior to John’s passing in 2014.

She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, where she served faithfully in many callings throughout the years.
