Sweetwater County, Wyoming — Tuesday, February 1, the Rock Springs and Green River City Councils will meet at 7:00 p.m.
Rock Springs:
Early into the meeting, Mayor Timothy Kaumo will declare the week of February 13 to February 19, 2022, to be Random Acts of Kindness Week. He will also declare February 19, 2022 to be Jackalope Jump Day.
New business will include the Engineering/Operations & Public Services Department seeking permission to bid various projects.
Also in new business, the Rock Springs Main Street/URA will ask for permission to apply for a CLG Grant from the Wyoming State Historic Office to assist with terra cotta restoration for the First Security Bank Building, in the amount of $39,432.98.
There will be four resolutions, including a resolution to accept a bid from Tarufelli Construction for Fire Damage Repairs at 1455 Thompson Street, Apt. 7 for the Rock Springs Housing Authority, in the amount of $40,500.
Finally, there will be three ordinance readings, including an ordinance amending article 13-6, entitled “Definitions”, and Article 13-8, entitled “Zone District Regulations” to define and list mobile vendors as allowable uses within the City of Rock Springs.

Green River:
Toward the opening of the meeting, Mayor Pete Rust will declare the week of February 13 to February 19, 2022, to be Random Acts of Kindness Week.
There will be a public hearing on a rezoning request from B-2 (Downtown Business) to B-1 (General Business).
During Council the action items portion of the meeting, the Council will consider a Software agreement with Convergeone to provide managed network services for the City.
Under the consent agenda, there will be a suggested motion to approve the issuance of a catering permit to China Garden Inc., to cater alcoholic beverages at the Green River Chapter of Duck’s Unlimited Banquet on Saturday, February 26, 2022, from 3 pm until 11 pm, at the Island Pavilion.
There will also be a suggested motion to approve the special 24-hour bar openings requested by the Green River Liquor Association for March 19 for St. Patrick’s Day, June 24 and 25 for Flaming Gorge Days, October 29 for Halloween and December 31 for New Year’s Eve.
