With an available 12-inch touchscreen and generous use of high-quality materials, the Ram 1500 has become a leader among luxury truck offerings. The craftsmanship combined with versatile storage solutions and super-sized infotainment display are just a few reasons the Ram 1500 takes home this year’s ALG Design Innovation Award.

Ward’s Auto editors chose the winners after spending October and November evaluating 34 engines and electric propulsion systems during routine commutes in metro Detroit. The 2019 Dodge Ram 1500 is this year’s winner for engine and interior.

Car and driver says: “Nobody spends more pennies on its interiors than Ram. In the new-for-2019 1500’s upper trims, Laramie Longhorn and Limited, the detailing and material richness exceed not only those of any other current pickup, but the standards established by any domestic vehicle in many decades. No American vehicle today—not a Cadillac, not a Lincoln, not a Tesla—can hold a candle to the top-level Rams’ cabins”.
