ROCK SPRINGS, WYOMING (June 1, 2020) — Sunday afternoon, Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County and Sweetwater County Public Health announced a total of four new lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 here in the county. Fremont and Big Horn counties also report single new cases Sunday.
As of Sunday’s report from Memorial Hospital, all four cases are isolating at home. The four new cases, three men and a woman, are all from Rock Springs and range in age from the 40’s to the 70’s. Sweetwater County has now had 22 total lab-confirmed case of COVID-19.
Also late Sunday afternoon, the Wyoming Department of Health (WDH) announced Wyoming’s 17th death related to the disease, an adult woman from Fremont County. The adult woman had been hospitalized and did not have any known conditions that would have put her at higher risk of serious illness related to COVID-19.
According to Sunday’s report from the WDH web site, the state has registered 693 lab-confirmed cases with 658 recoveries. The WDH is also reporting 210 probable cases.
