Areas of the state expecting snow tonight into Monday morning

September 19, 2021 — While Sweetwater County’s weather is going to become much more fall-like Monday and Tuesday, the word snow doesn’t appear in our local forecast… yet. For some of the higher elevations of the northern portion of the state, snow is expected tonight and Monday morning.

Areas above 7,000 feet in the Tetons expect two to five inches of accumulation tonight and into Monday morning. Jackson is expecting up to an inch of accumulation. Meanwhile, the Big Horn Mountains could see two to three inches of the white stuff tonight and tomorrow.

There is also the possibility of some snow showers in the higher elevations around Flaming Gorge and the upper Green River Basin and foothills.

Daytime temperatures are expected to warm starting Wednesday, with local highs in the mid-70s. Wednesday is also the first day of fall.
