Cell phone argument leads to arrest of two on drug charges in Rock Springs


ROCK SPRINGS, WYOMING (April 20, 2020) — Rock Springs Police are reporting that an argument over a cell phone, by two people in a car parked outside of a local convenience store, lead to the arrest of the two individuals on methamphetamine charges. The incident took place last Friday, April 17, 2020.


Alex Kim, listed from Pasadena, California and Ara Roberts, listed from Los Angeles, were both arrested on unlawful possession charges. Kim was also arrested on unlawful manufacture or delivery charges.

According to the report released Sunday, responding officers discovered that Alex had methamphetamine on his person and that there was methamphetamine in the vehicle. In total just over 32 grams of methamphetamine were recovered from the vehicle and from Alex’s person.


It was determined that Ara was also in possession of methamphetamine and that both had been actively using methamphetamine in the previous days.

Both are currently being held in the Sweetwater County Detention Center.
