October 13, 2021 — The City of Green River will have one-lane traffic Thursday morning at the Union Pacific underpass to allow City crews to clean up tumbleweeds following the Tuesday wind/snow event. Several hundred tumbleweeds collected on the north side of the underpass.
Crews will turn the two-lane road into a one-lane road beginning at 10:30 am Thursday morning. Flaggers will be placed on both sides of the underpass to direct traffic. The westbound lane on Second South Street will be closed through the underpass. Expect delays for about two hours.
Travelers heading west can use the overpass and exit the city on Flaming Gorge Way.
