(Rock Springs, WY) – Climb Wyoming, a statewide nonprofit whose mission is for low-income single mothers to discover self-sufficiency through career training and placement, is honored to be selected as the recipient of a generous $25,000 grant from Tata Chemicals.

The grant will create brighter futures for struggling single mothers and their families in Sweetwater County by funding comprehensive training sessions. The program includes job training and placement in high-demand careers, individual and group therapy and life skills instruction including personal financial management and parenting skills.

“We are so grateful for this generous donation from Tata Chemicals,” said Dr. Ray Fleming Dinneen, Climb founder and executive director. “The need for Climb’s program in Sweetwater County remains great with 41% of single mothers with children under the age of 18 living below the poverty level in 2015. We are very grateful that Tata Chemicals recognizes this need and is able to generously support us through this gift.”

“Tata Chemicals is proud of its ongoing support for Climb Wyoming,” said Martin Keighley, CEO and managing director of Tata Chemicals North America. “Giving back in the communities where we do business is a priority for Tata in North America, and in supporting the Climb program, we know we are helping single mothers and their children gain financial independence.”
