“We talked in practice this week about how the last couple of games we played against Air Force we kind of had some lulls between the eight-minute mark and the four-minute mark of the first half,” UW head coach Jeff Linder said.  “Tonight, Graham (Ike) got his second foul during that time, and Air Force did some things a little differently defensively against us to try and limit the dribble downs by Maldo (Maldonado). I thought we still got some good shots. In the second half, we did a better job of knocking down shots.”

Wyoming led 30-26 at the end of the first half. Air Force would tie the game at 46-46 at the 10:50 mark of the second half, but Maldonado would hit two free throws to give the Pokes a 48-46 lead. It would be a lead UW would not relinquish for the rest of the game.

While the contest stayed close, Wyoming eventually built their lead to 65-55 with 2:58 to go in the game.

The Cowboys will travel to Colorado State (11-3 MW/21-3 overall) on Wednesday night. Wyoming won the first meeting 84-78 on January 31.
