Cowboys look to stay hot with a road game at Fresno State today

February 6, 2022 — The Wyoming Cowboys will face a tough road test today at Fresno State. The Bulldogs currently reside in fourth place in the Mountain West Conference with a 6-3 mark (16-6 overall). Wyoming is 7-1 in the conference (18-3 overall) and just one game back of 9-1 Boise State (18-5 overall).

Today’s game will be the third game in the last seven for the Cowboys, including Monday night’s overtime home win over Colorado State (7-3 and 17-3) and Thursday night’s home win over Boise State. Wyoming is off to their best start in Mountain West play since opening 8-1 during the 2001-02 season.

Fresno State has won its last two games, 73-43 at San Jose State and a 73-56 home win against Nevada.

Today’s game will be broadcast on WyoRadio’s 99.7 JACK-FM and 99KSIT.com, beginning at 4:30 p.m. with the tip-off scheduled for 5 p.m.

Wyoming trails the all-time series against the Bulldogs 21-12 in a series that dates back to 1972. The Pokes are 3-14 all-time in Fresno, including a pair of losses last season.
