Cowboys look to stay undefeated at home tonight against Utah State

February 8, 2022 — The Cowboys return home to the Dome of Doom for their game against Utah State. The Pokes (8-1 in the Mountain West and 19-3 overall) are 10-0 at home this season and have won 11-straight home contests dating back to last season.

Wyoming has won 11 of their last 12 games, including Sunday night’s 61-50 road win at Fresno State. Utah State (6-5 in the MW and 15-9 overall) is coming into Laramie riding a five-game winning streak, all conference games. Those victories have come by a combined 105 points. The Cowboys won the first meeting between the two teams 71-69 on a Graham Ike basket with 3.3 seconds to play.

Tonight’s game will be broadcast on WyoRadio’s 99.7 JACK-FM and 99 KSIT.com beginning at 6:30 p.m. with tip-off scheduled for 7 p.m.
 
Wyoming is led by scoring this season by Ike’s 20 points per game and three-time MW Player of the Week Hunter Maldonado at 19.3 points per game.  The Aggies are paced by Justin Bean, who nearly averages a double-double. He puts up a stat line of 18.7 points and 9.9 rebounds per game.

Wyoming leads the all-time series with Utah State 52-33, in a series that dates back to 1926.
