Cowgirls Wrap Up Regular Season Tonight At Home Against Boise State



Laramie, WY – The Wyoming women’s basketball team will close out the regular season tonight against the Boise State Broncos. The game is set for a 6:30 p.m.

The Cowgirls enter the contest 20-8 overall and are in a three way tie with Boise State and UNLV with a 13-4 conference record. UW wins the regular season title with a victory or the Cowgirls could possibly be the second or third seed in next week’s tournament. The seeding will depend on the outcome of the UNLV-Utah State game.

Senior Liv Roberts is averaging a team-high 14.0 points plus 6.0 rebounds per contest, which ranks 9th and 14th in overall games, respectively in the MW. She is followed by Taylor Rusk who is adding 9.5 points and 2.9 assists.

Boise State enters the contest with a 19-9 mark overall and 13-4 in MW action. Sophomore Riley Lupfer leads the way averaging 16.8 points along with 3.7 rebounds.

This will be the 21st meeting between the two schools. The series is all tied up at ten. The last time the two teams met was January 6, 2018 with the Cowgirls coming out on top 66-51.
