SWEETWATER COUNTY (October 11, 2021) — The first snow of the season is always beautiful to behold. Later in the season, not so much, as people begin dreaming of spring.
Tonight is such a night. Between Monday night and late Tuesday, Rock Springs and Green River can expect to see between one and three inches. All this, while lows reach around 29 degrees.
According to National Weather Service Meteorologist Chris Hattings, conditions will worsen towards the east.
“If traveling east on I80, road conditions will worsen,” Said Hattings. “On I80 From Rawlins to Casper and Cheyenne will likely see heavier snowfall.”
But I25 and I90 are no exception. Originating in Colorado, the storm reached northwest Wyoming Sunday, and is now sweeping across the entire state.
Roads will be slippery, so taking extra time to drop kids at school and to get to work will help to reduce accidents.
