A former Rock Springs resident is in need of a kidney transplant following complications from Type I Diabetes.

Rock Springs High School graduate Scott Lane, who was diagnosed with Type I Diabetes at age 10, is seeking a living kidney donor. Scott is in need of a kidney, however the current wait time for a deceased donor organ is seven years.

Scott is the son of lifetime Rock Springs residents Jack and Joann Lane. His brother, Mark, and sister, Natalie, also reside in Rock Springs.

Scott is a graduate of the University of Wyoming and has lived in the Denver area for the past 25 years. He is a husband and father who is active in Tai Chi and Aikido. He is also the owner of a rescue dog—a Great Pyrenees named Sophie.

Scott is employed as a radio communication specialist for Adcom 911. He helps others stay in touch when it matters the most—assisting in emergency calls for fire, police, and EMS.

Anyone who would like to learn more can contact Mary Ann Lombard, Scott’s wife/donor champion at 303-941-7829 or email her at [email protected]. You can also contact the UC Health Living Donor Department at 720-848-0855. If you contact UC Health, please inform them you are inquiring for Scott Lane.
