Green River players part of Riverton 18U softball championship

July 21, 2021 — Two high school players from Green River were members of the recently crowned 18U USA Softball State Champions. Green River’s Lani Blaylock and Shelby Carson played with the Riverton Renegades at last weekend’s state tournament in Laramie.

 

Blaylock played catcher while Carson played both center field and left field. Both girls will be juniors next year at Green River High School.

The Riverton team was made up of players from Green River, Riverton, Lander, Worland, and Fort Washakie.

The Renegades won the championship game 13-11 over the Laramie Lightning.
