Historic Steam Engines Visiting Rock Springs Today


Rock Springs, WY (5/5/19) – Both the legendary locomotives Big Boy No. 4014 and Living Legend No. 844 will be traveling together and will be in Rock Springs today. The trains are scheduled to be in Rock Springs at 11:15 a.m. and will leave at 4:00 a.m. on Monday, May 6.

The trains will be traveling for the trip to Ogden, Utah, to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the first transcontinental railroad.

Both engines will arrive in Rock Springs, Sunday, May 5 by 11:15 a.m. and will leave Rock Springs by 4:00 a.m. on May 6.

The No. 844 and No. 4014, along with the traveling museum, will arrive in Rock Springs, May 13 at 12:45 p.m. They will be on display in Rock Springs, May 14-May 15, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. They leave Rock Springs on May 16 by 8:00 a.m. This is the only stop for the museum in Wyoming!
