Knights win third game, Stallions first at GR baseball tournament

June 27, 2021 — The Green River Knights continued with their winning ways Saturday at the Knight Invite baseball tournament in Green River. The home team followed Friday’s two wins with an 11-6 victory over Lovell Saturday night. Michael Richardson led the way offensively for Green River with two hits, including a home run and two runs batted in.

Green River won Friday’s games 18-1 over Steamboat Springs, Colorado, and 6-0 over Rock Springs.

 

The Rock Springs Stallions dramatically won their Saturday game. Trailing Lovell 6-2 after the first inning of play, the Stallions would fight back to take an 8-7 win. What proved to be the winning run was scored in the top of the last inning on an RBI single by Hudson Garner. The Stallions’ Dylan Johnson had two RBIs in the game.

The tournament will continue today.
