Lady Miners Hockey goes 4-0 over the weekend

ROCK SPRINGS, WYOMING (Nov. 18, 2019) – The Rock Springs 19U Girls hockey team enjoyed this past weekend. The team was perfect in four game played.

The Rock Springs Lady Miners defeated Pinedale twice and Laramie twice to improve to 4-1-1 on the season. The four wins puts Rock Springs U19 Girls into third place in the Wyoming Amateur Hockey League Girls 19U division.

The Lady Miners U19 team will travel to Gillette and Miles City, Montana the weekend of December 20.

Friday, Nov. 15 – at Pinedale, Rock Springs 10  Pinedale 3.

Rock Springs started the scoring early, when Jayleigh Harmon made the games first goal just 2:43 into the first period. Harmon would finish the night with four goals. Rock Springs forward Joselyn Arrants would also have a hat trick Friday night with three goals. Anabella Fausett scored twice and Makenzie Suppes would score one goal.

Saturday, Nov. 16 – at Pinedale, Rock Springs 9 – Pinedale 1.

Rock Springs Lady Miners would take control of the second game of the series early, when Joselyn Arrants would score the first of her five goals just 28 seconds into the game.  Jayleigh Harmon and Kaylee Bernatis would also score two goals each for Rock Springs.  Rock Springs goaltender Kylynn Martin stopped 13 of 14 shots.

Saturday, Nov. 16 – Laramie at Rock Springs.  Rock Springs 9 – Laramie 4

The first two periods of this game were a close battle. The game was tied 4-4 at the second intermission. In the third period, Rock Springs would come on strong, outscoring Laramie 6-1. Dulcee Pummell was the top scorer for Rock Springs with three goals. Anabella Fausett scored twice, and Joselyn Arrants, Kaylee Bernatis, Jayleigh Harmon, and Makenzie Suppes scored one goal each. Rock Springs goaltender Kylynn Martin stopped 21 of 25 shots.

Sunday, Nov. 17 – Laramie at Rock Springs.  Rock Springs 7 – Laramie 1

Laramie struck first in the second game of the series when Laramie’s Emily Bresnahan scored just one minute into the contest. That would be the last score of the game for the Lady Outlaws, as Rock Springs scored seven unanswered goals, sealing their fourth win of the weekend. Joselyn Arrants, Jayleigh Harmon, and Dulcee Pummel each had two goals in the game. Annabella Fausett had one goal. Rock Springs goalie Kylynn Martin was stellar, stopping 26 of 27 shots.
