Before they convene this year, local residents will have a chance to hear what the legislators wish to accomplish, and to ask them questions. Attendance is free of charge.

Next Thursday, February 3, at 5:30 p.m., Wyoming State Senators and Representatives will be present for a panel discussion at the Broadway Theater in Rock Springs, presenting their individuals goals.

Specifically, they will be speaking about Governor Mark Gordon’s proposals for the use of the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds. Wyoming will receive more than $1 billion directly from the ARPA funds.

“We want to make sure that people have the opportunity to know what’s going on with their delegates, and to know what their views are,” said Rick Lee, CEO of the Rock Springs Chamber of Commerce. “We want to make it a question and answer opportunity.”

The delegates will be seated at a table on stage to present their ideas and to comment on what they hope to accomplish when they convene in Cheyenne on Monday, February 14.

After the panel discussion, attendees can enjoy some drinks from the cash bar in the lobby, and talk to their senators and representatives.

“People will have an opportunity to ask the local delegates questions, and to express their views,” said Lee. “What we are hoping is that Southwest Wyoming can get a little bit of support in our business ventures and what we want to bring into the community.”

Delegates to attend:

Chad Banks — Wyoming Representative

Fred Baldwin — Wyoming Senator

Tom James — Wyoming Senator

Marshall Burt — Wyoming Representative

Clark Stith — Wyoming Representative
