Paint the Town Pink announces winners and their stories

SWEETWATER COUNTY, WYOMING (November 3, 2021) — Sweetwater Regional Cancer Center staff would like to thank all of the businesses that helped create awareness for October’s Breast Cancer Awareness month by decorating their business.

This year we had 31 entries in Rock Springs and Green River. Rock Springs submitted 21 businesses and Green River had 10 for Paint the Town Pink. Each year this fun event grows. Sweetwater Regional Cancer Center wants to say “thank you” for the support.

Paint the Town Pink supports the fighters, survivors and helps us remember the taken from breast cancer but is a reminder for people affected by cancer. Get screened! Early detection saves lives and treatment is available right here.

The Sweetwater Regional Cancer Center is an affiliate of the Huntsman’s and offers the same treatment locally.

For Rock Springs this year, Amber Kramer State Farm partnered with Donna Audevart, a breast cancer survivor, to paint and encourage Sweetwater County residents to “Bear Your Breasts, Get an Exam” and “Bee Brave, Support Cancer Awareness” and the community agreed and voted them as the Paint the Town Pink 2021 Rock Springs winner.

For Green River this year, Trona Valley Federal Credit Union (Green River Branch) painted everything pink! They supported Breast Cancer Awareness Month by decorating, hosting a photo contest, and raised money for Breast Cancer Awareness and the community agreed and voted them as the Paint the Town Pink 2021 Green River winner.
