Plane Makes Emergency Landing. All Rescued.

Rock Springs, WY (1/29/19) – Last night at approximately 6:30 p.m., the Sweetwater County Sheriff’s office reported the emergency landing of an aircraft in the desert several miles east of the Southwest Wyoming Regional Airport.

The plane was occupied by a crew of five. Last night at approximately 9:00 p.m., the Sheriff’s Office reported that all five crew members had been successfully rescued by helicopter from the emergency landing site with no serious injuries reported.  All five were transported to Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County as a precautionary measure.

At this time, there is no information on the aircraft’s ownership, but according to a post on the Southwest Wyoming Regional Airport Facebook page, the plane was not an United Airlines flight or a Haliburton charter flight.

The investigation into the incident is still ongoing.
