Poke Football Officially Underway With Monday’s First Practice

NCAA Football: Wyoming

The Wyoming Cowboys opened football practice yesterday morning.  The Pokes practiced in helmets only and no pads which is part of the NCAA required acclimatization period.  The Cowboys will put on pads for the first time on Friday.

Head Coach Craig Bohl commented “I think we’re certainly further along in our fourth year, and we look like a more mature football team,” said Bohl.  “There is more depth and more athleticism on this team.  I thought the focus was very good today, particularly for a first day.

The Pokes open the season at Iowa on September 2nd.
