“Our guys knew this was a must-win game,” UW head coach Jeff Linder said postgame. “We needed this win to put ourselves in the best position possible moving toward Vegas and the Mountain West Tournament. To win the way we did today, hopefully, allowed us to get some of our mojo back and get our energy back.”

The win secured Wyoming as the No. 4 seed in this week’s Mountain West Conference Tournament. Wyoming will start play on Thursday afternoon against UNLV, the tournament’s No. 5 seed. Wyoming lost 64-57 to UNLV last Wednesday night in Las Vegas in the two team’s only meeting this season. See the entire MW men’s tournament bracket here. All Wyoming tournament games will be broadcast on WyoRadio’s 99.7 JACK-FM and 99KSIT.com.

Xavier DuSell led Wyoming in scoring Saturday with 21 points. Graham Ike added 16 points before fouling out in regulation. Maldonado had 10 points in the game.
