Agenda for Rock Springs:

The Rock Springs City Council meets tonight, November 16, which will begin with Mayor Timothy Kaumo proclaiming Saturday, November 27, to be “Small Business Saturday.” This particular day will be a reminder to support our local businesses.

There will be a public hearing regarding flat rental rates. The conversation will be centered around public housing units.

Correspondences will include an invitation to the Commerce Bank of Wyoming’s Holiday Open House next week and the YWCA’s Festival of Trees events on December 2.

Another correspondence will announce Bridger Coal Company’s blasting schedule.

A resolution will approve the revision to the Rock Springs Housing Authority’s flat rent schedule.

Also of interest will be the third reading of the ordinance, “Permitting and Regulation of Mobile Vendors,” which will recognize the growing number of food trucks in the community.

In Green River:

The Green River City Council meeting will commence with Mayor Peter Rust proclaiming November 15 through November 22 to be National Apprenticeship Week, bringing awareness to the vital role apprentice programs provide.

The mayor will also proclaim Saturday, November 27 to be “Small Business Saturday.”

The “Citizen Requests and Other Communications” portion of the evening will provide an opportunity for people to speak on items of concern, including items on the agenda.

Also of interest will be a move to approve the issuance of a catering permit to Lew’s Inc., DBA Sands Buddha Bobs Liquor Catering.
