Sweetwater County School District #1 would like to thank everyone for supporting the 2022 All-State Music Conference held in Sweetwater #1 these last couple of days. The last time the District hosted the music conference was back in 2008. Knowing this event was coming to Rock Springs, the school district planned accordingly and adjusted the school calendar to allow for the event size. It makes for a short week but we will be back on track starting tomorrow. They had representatives from most of the other school districts within the state and it was a great turnout!

The District Facilities Department has been working diligently to make the necessary repairs at Walnut Elementary School in order to safely return students and staff to the building. They are happy to mention that students will be returning to Walnut Elementary School for all learning starting tomorrow, January 19, 2022.

The school district cannot thank the Desert View Elementary and Walnut Elementary students, families, and staff enough for their patience, understanding, and support during the past two weeks. Please congratulate students and staff from both schools as they have done a fantastic job during this time. They are resilient!
