ROCK SPRINGS, WYOMING (August 11, 2021) – A Rockin’ from the Rain Fundraiser is being held on Sunday, Aug. 22, to help those who were affected by the recent flash floods.
The committee, in partnership with the city of Rock Springs, that created the event is seeking sponsors to help fund the event and spread the word.
“We want to bring the community together to help out those who were affected and do whatever we can do to support them,” said Amber Kramer, one of the committee members.
The concert benefit begins at 2 p.m. and will feature three bands, food trucks and raffles, which will take place at the Sweetwater Events Complex, located at 3320 Yellowstone Road in Rock Springs.
There will be a small cover charge of $5 per person and donations are encouraged to help families affected by the storm in order to pay for damages.
In order to become a sponsor, contact the Rock Springs Chamber of Commerce at 307-362-3771. Sponsors will have their name on the t-shirt that will be sold at the event. The committee asks that all checks be made to the city of Rock Springs, mailed or taken to city hall, located at 212 D St.
The deadline to become a sponsor is Friday, Aug. 13, so that the t-shirts can be made.
Rockin’ from the Rain Committee consists of Kramer, Rob Zotti, Heather Anderson, Tim Savage, Deb Knezovich, Jackson Ramsay, Ron and Michelle Gatti and Laurie Kolar.
