ROCK SPRINGS, WYOMING (July 19, 2020) — The home field advantage didn’t help the Rock Springs American Legion baseball team Saturday. The Sand Puppies dropped both games of a conference doubleheader to Jackson played at the Wataha Sports Complex.

Rock Springs lost the opening contest 1-0 as Jackson scored what proved to be the winning run in the top of the seventh inning. The second seven-inning contest was not as dramatic with Jackson scoring a 12-3 win. The two teams will play one game today scheduled for 11 a.m.

The losses drop the Sand Puppies AA-West Conference mark to 1-5.

Things went slightly better for the Green River American Legion team as they split their doubleheader at Riverton.
