Saturday Area High School Cross Country

4A State Championships

Rock Springs finished in 10th place in the Boys team standings. Cheyenne Central won the team championship. Rock Springs Tigers runner Charles Fossey finished in 4th place individually. Cheyenne Central also won the 4A Girls meet. Rock Springs did not have enough runners to compete in the Girls team standings.

3A State Championships

Mountain View won the 3A Boys State Championship. Mountain View’s Owen Burnett won the individual state title, with teammate Tanner Erickson finishing second. The Green River boys finished 12th in the team race. Nathan Stevenson was the Wolves’ top placer, finishing 14th. Lyman finished 13th, paced by Brigham Fanos in 15th place. Cody won the Girls 3A team title. Mountain View was 5th, with Katie Giorgis finishing 6th and Natalee Rudy 11th. The Green River Lady Wolves finished 7th, paced by Isabella Murdock’s 24th place finish. Lyman was 9th in the team standings, with Karly Sabey crossing the finish line in 9th place.
