Cowgirl soccer drops MW road game/volleyball to takes on Fresno State today

October 2, 2021 — The Wyoming Cowgirls soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision at San Jose State Friday. The road loss dropped the Cowgirls to 1-2-0 in the Mountain West and 5-5-1 overall. San Jose State improved to 2-1-0 in league play and 5-6-0 overall.

“It’s disappointing because we feel like we dictated the tempo of the match and didn’t walk away with a result,” head coach Colleen Corbin said. “Kudos to San Jose State. They found a way, and we didn’t. It’s another game that we feel like got away from us where we should have gotten a result and didn’t.”

UW freshman forward Maddi Chance led all players with a career-high seven shots. Sophomore forward Alyssa Bedard managed two shots, and junior midfielder Hannah Hagen came off the bench to add a pair of shots, as well.  

Wyoming remains on the road and takes on Fresno State Sunday afternoon.

Cowgirl Volleyball is looking for a road win today.

The Wyoming volleyball team meets Fresno State this afternoon. Wyoming enters the contest at 0-3 in Mountain West play and 8-7 overall. Fresno State is 1-2 in the conference and 5-6 overall.

The Cowgirls are coming off a three-set loss last Tuesday to Colorado State, 3-1 MW, 7-6 overall.
