Things started well for the Knights when they scored six runs in the top of the first inning. But Lovell came back with five of their own runs in the bottom of the inning. Green River would increase the lead to 9-5, heading into the bottom of the third inning. However, Lovell would again cut the Knights lead to a single run, 9-8, with three runs in the bottom of the third inning.

Green River would add an insurance run in the top of the fifth inning and held the two-run lead, 10-8, heading into the bottom of the final inning. Aided by three walks, a hit batter, and stolen bases, but no hits, Lovell would score three runs to gain the 11-10 win.

Offensively, Marcos Molina, Tayler Jensen, Dayllan Smith, Jax Peterson, and Gabe Patton each had two hits for the Knights. Peterson’s hits were both for extra bases (a double and a triple). Jensen had three RBI, with Smith recording two.

Lovell will play Monday afternoon against the loser of this evening’s Powell vs. Cody game.
