Sweetwater County School District #1 is seeking input regarding a four-day week option for the District. This is a suggestion that came up through the Cost Savings Task Force meetings held in January.
The calendar committee is currently creating calendar options for the next two school years. The District says it realizes the impact a four-day week could potentially have on the community and strongly encourages all community members to provide their concerns or suggestions via the public forums taking place at the Central Administration Building board room on Thursday February 23, 2017 at any of the following times:
-  7:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.
- 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
- 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Information shared from the District will be the same at all three forums.
The District is also soliciting feedback through a link on their webpage: http://www.sweetwater1.org.
The District says community input will play a large role in whether or not a four-day week will be considered in the proposed calendars for the 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 calendars.
