ROCK SPRINGS, WYOMING — Tata Chemicals has provided Climb Wyoming with a generous grant to help Wyoming families in need. The long-time partnership is especially critical this year as single mothers continue to carry an extraordinary burden during the pandemic, suffering more than any other household type from job loss, food insecurity, and a lack of child-care options.
The grant will support single mothers as they work to overcome poverty and reach financial independence and self-sufficiency. Climb offers industry training that meets Wyoming’s workforce needs, along with life skills classes in workplace communication, problem-solving, budgeting, parenting, and mental health services. Staff also work closely with moms who aren’t ready for a training program but need help gaining stability on the path to employment.
“Climb’s transformative program is possible because of our supporters, including generous corporations like Tata Chemicals,” says Katie Hogarty, Climb Wyoming’s CEO. “They are strengthening our communities by helping Wyoming’s most vulnerable families have access to the tools to overcome poverty and break the generational cycle of poverty for generations to come.”
Tata Chemicals has always prioritized giving back to the communities it serves. According to John Mulhall, Managing Director Tata Chemicals North America, “Tata Chemicals are delighted to partner with Climb Wyoming in the delivery of essential programs to support and raise the long-term prospects of single mothers in the area.”
