Three Boy’s Swimmers Earn All-State Honors For Green River High School


Three boy’s swimmers from Green River High School earned All-State Honors after their performances this past weekend at the 4A State Swim Meet in Gillette.

Senior Michael Richmond, sophomore Jason Richmond, and senior Dean Lyon all earned all-state after impressive performances. This is Michael’s second all-state honor while Jason and Dean both earned their first all-state awards. Information was provided by

Michael Richmond won two State Championships finishing first in both the 200 Yard Freestyle and 100 Yard Butterfly. Richmond was also a member of the Wolves’ 200 Yard Medley Relay team which finished second.

Jason Richmond scored two individual second place finishes in the 200 Yard IM and 100 Yard Breaststroke. He was also a member of the second place 200 Yard Medley Relay team.

Dean Lyon finished second in the 500 Yard Freestyle event. In team scoring, Green River finished fifth overall.
