Tigers and Eagles still top the football polls

October 13, 2021 — Rock Springs and Lyman remain on top of their respective WyoPreps.com football polls this week.

The Tigers rule the 4A poll receiving 16 of the 18 votes cast by media members and coaches. Sheridan remained at #2, followed by Thunder Basin, Cheyenne East, and Casper Natrona. Rock Springs, Sheridan, Thunder Basin, and East all sport 6-1 season records. The Tigers will host Cheyenne Central (1-6) this Friday.

The Lyman Eagles, 7-0, once again rule the Class 2A poll with 15 of a possible 17 first-place votes. Torrington remains #2, with Lovel, Cokeville, and Wheatland rounding out the top five. Lyman travels to Pinedale (0-7) for a Friday afternoon game.

After last week’s loss to Dubois, Farson-Eden dropped out of the 6-Man poll. Little Snake River leads that class after receiving every first-place vote. Encampment, Meeteetse and Hulett stay #2, #3, and #4. With its win over Farson-Eden, Dubois entered the poll at #5. Farson-Eden will travel to #3 Meeteetse this Saturday afternoon.

Green River (0-6) did not receive any votes in the 3A poll, where Cody(6-0) is in the top spot. The Wolves will host Cody Friday night.
