Tigers Soccer Sweeps Natrona, Wolves Tie and Lose To Kelly Walsh


All local high school soccer teams were busy on the pitch yesterday.  The Rock Springs Tigers defeated Casper Natrona 2-1 yesterday afternoon.  The Lady Tigers had an easier time with their 6-0 win over Natrona’s Lady Mustangs.  The Tiger boys are now 3-0 in conference matches and 4-1 on the season.  The Lady Tigers improved to 1-1 in conference and 3-1 overall.

In Green River, the Wolves boys played to a 0-0 tie with Casper Kelly Walsh while the Lady Wolves were defeated by Kelly Walsh 7-1.  The Wolves are now 1-0-1 in conference play and 1-2-1 on the year.  The Lady Wolves fall to 1-1 in conference and 1-3 on the season.

Both Green River and Rock Springs girls soccer teams will be competing in this Friday and Saturday’s Southwest Invitational in Green River while the boys teams travel to Worland for the Pinnacle Challengers Cup Tournament.

The Rock Springs Lady Tigers will also have a match on Thursday against Evanston making up for a match that was canceled last week due to weather conditions.
