Koonik and van Der Ploeg were selected to the All-Conference doubles team for the third straight season. The duo joins former Cowgirls Veronica Popovici and Simona Synkova as the only other three-time doubles honorees in school history. van Der Ploeg earned All-Conference honors in singles for the first time in her career. It’s the 11th straight year the Cowgirl Tennis program has been recognized in either singles or doubles.

From Leeuwarden, the Netherlands, van Der Ploeg is a four-year starter for the Cowgirl program. She is currently 16-15 overall and 10-8 in dual action while playing at the number one spot. She has won the last seven out of her last ten matches. Her overall record of 63-55 in singles ranks 12th all-time and she has been selected Mountain West player of the week twice during her career.

Koonik and van Der Ploeg have an overall doubles mark of 15-17 and 10-9 during the spring. The pair went 4-1 in Mountain West play, and have a 16-1 record over the last four years in conference action as a duo. They have 66 career doubles wins which rank seventh all-time in school history.
