River Festival starts up today in Green River. The annual event will go from 3:00 until 11:00 p.m. today and 9:00 a.m to 4:00 p.m. Saturday. The event takes place at Expedition Island.

Today’s activities start with the opening of the Brew Garden at 3:00 p.m. The Cajun Shrimp Boil and Spaghetti Dinner will take place from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Cost is $25.00 for a “Boat” or $15.00 for a “Canoe” of shrimp. Spaghetti Dinner cost is $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for children and seniors.
Tonight will also feature live music from Nowhere Fast with fireworks at dark.

Saturday’s River Festival activities are free and include dog events from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., craft vendors, car and bike show at Evers Park and horse shoe tournament.
