Weather Service Warns of Spring Snow Coming Our Way


Rock Springs, WY (3/28/19) – Spring snow is coming our way. The National Weather Service in Riverton has issued a special weather statement for Sweetwater County and some surrounding counties:

Rock Springs and Green River and Sweetwater County can expect light rain turning into two to four inches of snow later in the afternoon and continuing into Friday.

If you are traveling:

One to two inches of accumulations expected around Jackson and Star Valley, Pinedale and Bondurant.

One to three inches of 1 to 3 inches in the Wind River basin and 3 to 5 inches in the Lander Foothills.

Yellowstone National Park, the Absaroka, Teton, and Gros Ventre Range; including Teton Pass and Togwotee Pass are expecting snow accumulations of four to eight inches with 10 inches possible in the Absaroka Mountains.
