Wolves And Tigers Each With Three State Champions


Rock Springs, WY (2/23/19) – The Rock Springs Tigers and Green River Wolves each walked away from the 2019 4A State Wrestling Championships in Casper with three State Champions.

For Green River Clayson Mele (106 pounds), Dominic Martinez (112) and Payton Tucker (182) won state crowns while Zack Vasquez (126), Cameron Metcalf (138) and Tristian Profazier (160) claimed state titles.

In the team points race, according to TrackWrestling.com, Casper Kelly Walsh won the team championship with 223 points. Green River finished second with 204 points. Defending champion Cheyenne East was third (195) followed by Thunder Basin (187.5), Rock Springs (186.5), Casper Natrona (151.5), Cheyenne Central (137), Sheridan (131), Evanston (99), Laramie (50), Cheyenne Soouth (27), and Campbell County (11).
