**** Yesterday afternoon, Sweetwater County School District #2 announced that Matt Robles is the new girl’s head soccer coach at Green River High School. Robles is a Green River High School graduate with previous coaching experience at Western Wyoming Community College and multiple youth and club soccer teams.


**** WYDOT reminds drivers that a milling and paving project will begin today on US 191 north of Rock Springs. Traffic guided through the single-lane construction area by a pilot car with delays of up to 15 minutes. That project is expected to continue through the end of October.

**** Wyoming’s Big Show opens its main gates today at 2 p.m., with the carnival starting up at 6 p.m. The county band Lanco will hit the Concert After Dark stage at 8:30 tonight. 4H/FFA shows begin today at 11 a.m. with the Horse Speed and Rabbit Shows.

**** The Bitter Creek Bark Park in Rock Springs has been named the best dog park in Wyoming and the 31st best in America by readers of the website HappyDoggo.com. The off-leash facility located on West Center Street beyond the animal shelter has been open since 2009. The park is open daily from 7 am to 9 pm.

**** Green River High School’s Freshmen Orientation event will take place tomorrow beginning at 4 p.m. The event is for both incoming freshmen and their parents. Scheduled activities include swimming, an ice cream social, and a meet and greet with the school’s administration.
