**** Most of Sweetwater County and the surrounding area to the Utah and Colorado borders are under a Red Flag Warning today as conditions will be favorable for rapid and erratic fire growth.
**** Blues guitarist and music historian Joey Leone will be performing at the White Mountain Library in Rock Springs tonight at 7 p.m. Leone will present “The History of Blues in America” in story and music. The performance is free and open to the public.
Also, the Sweetwater County Library System will present three shows by magician Andrew Wonder. Wonder will be performing at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Centennial Park in Green River at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Thursday at the Broadway Theater in Rock Springs. All three shows are free to the public.
**** The Charity Chow Down event will be taking place Wednesday afternoon and evening at Bunning Park. The event will feature various food trucks that will be donating 10% of their sales to eleven different Sweetwater County nonprofit organizations. The event is scheduled to take place from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. The event will run in conjunction with Wednesday’s Concert in the Park at Bunning Park will begin at 7 p.m. and feature the band Stones Throe.
Thursday night’s free Concert at the Clocktower in Green River will have Many Strings playing beginning at 7 p.m.
**** The 12th annual Tribute to Fallen Soldiers Memorial Torch Motorcycle Ride is scheduled to arrive in Rock Springs this afternoon. The annual motorcycle ride escorts a torch from the west coast to the Arlington National Cemetery in Washington D.C., honoring America’s fallen military members.
Riders are expected to arrive at the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Rock Springs between 3 and 4 p.m. They will spend the night before proceeding to Casper Wednesday morning.
**** The University of Wyoming has announced its Class of 2020-21 Hall of Fame members. Two Wyoming natives are included in the group. They are Jon Cogdill (Football and Wrestling, 1986-90) and Tom Wilkinson (Football and Baseball, 1964-65). Other new members and information can be found here.
